KYTG Rapunzel Finale 2026

That’s a Wrap! A Huge Thank You from Quiffendale

As the curtain falls on our 2025 production of Rapunzel at The Masque Theatre, we want to take a moment to celebrate the magic we’ve shared. From the first rehearsal in June to the final bows in Scene Fourteen, this journey has been filled with “magic, laughter, love, and curls.”

Bringing Nick Lawrence’s hilarious script to life has been an absolute joy. As a volunteer-led community group, we are so incredibly proud of everything our cast and crew have achieved on the Kettering stage.

To Our Incredible Cast

You brought the kingdom of Quiffendale to life with such energy!

  • Our Heroes: To Rapunzel, for showing us that beauty lies within, and Prince Leo, for finally finding the adventure you were looking for.
  • The Comedy Duo: Dame Betty Beehive and Silly Billy—thank you for the endless laughs (and for the questionable haircuts at the “Bee Hive” salon!).
  • The Villains: Mother Gothel, you were fabulously wicked, and Sidney, we’re so glad you chose the “disgruntled heart” of a hero over a life of crime.
  • Our Magical Friends: To Fairy Stardust for guiding us, and Rascal—the world’s only talking, human-sized rabbit—thank you for keeping us on our toes.
  • The Ensemble: Whether you were playing townsfolk, salon customers, or “hirsute” ladies, you were the heartbeat of every musical number from “Life’s a Happy Song” to our big “Roar” finale.

To Our Hardworking Crew

Pantomime magic doesn’t happen without the dedicated volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes.

  • Stage & Tech: Thank you for managing the complex “Tabs In” and “Tabs Out” transitions and for keeping the Enchanted Forest and Rapunzel’s Tower looking spectacular.
  • Wardrobe & Props: From the gravity-defying Beehive wigs to the magical hairspray, your creativity made this Northants panto truly shine.

A Final Note of Thanks

To the parents, chaperones, and the wider Kettering Youth Theatre Group community: thank you for your unwavering support. As we said in our final bow:

“We thank you all for coming, and for joining in, We hope that you enjoyed it, and that we gave you a grin!”

Safe journey home, everyone… we’ll see you all next year!
